Svjatoslav Richter\, qui remarque son talent\, l’invite à partager l’affiche de disques et concerts. \nEn 1978\, elle s’établit à Vienne. Soliste des plus grands orchestres mondiaux (New York Philharmonic\, Philharmonie de Berlin\, etc.)\, elle collabore avec les chefs les plus illustres tels que Kurt Masur ou Christoph Eschenbach. \nAndré Boucourechliev écrivait à son sujet : « Le chemin de Leonskaja est un chemin de cimes.
