C’est ainsi qu’il s’est passionné pour l’œuvre de Frédéric Chopin\, véritable pierre de touche du romantisme et d’un idéal politique militant souvent passé au second plan.\nDans cet esprit\, il a écrit plusieurs ouvrages dédiés à ce compositeur\, dont Les Étés de Frédéric Chopin à Nohant\, accompagné de 4 CD enregistrés par Yves Henry\, qui explore les liens artistiques et amoureux qui l’unissent à George Sand\, femme de lettre engagée et visionnaire. \nPar ailleurs\, il a été le commissaire de nombreuses expositions et participé à de multiples festivals\, tant en France qu’à l’étranger\, déclinant l’esprit du romantisme autour de la personnalité de Frédéric Chopin (Nohant\, Hambourg\, Paris\, Verbania\, Châteauroux\, Tokyo\, Gdansk…). Il a reçu le label du Comité artistique et scientifique Chopin 2010 pour son exposition « Chopin l’Européen / Chopin en Berry » lors des manifestations du bicentenaire.
