Il ouvre en 1978 la librairie Les Autographes et devient expert près la Compagnie des Commissaires-Priseurs. \nDepuis lors\, il a organisé de très nombreuses ventes et rédigé leurs catalogues\, qui restent des références : la collection Godoy sur Baudelaire\, les manuscrits de la Marseillaise ou du Boléro de Ravel\, les archives d’Eugène Delacroix\, le manuscrit du Voyage au bout de la nuit de Céline\, la collection théâtrale de Jean Darnel\, etc. \nIl a publié entre autres chez Gallimard deux volumes de lettres de George Sand : les Lettres retrouvées\, et au Passeur éditeur Les nouvelles lettres retrouvées. \n[/vc_column_text] \n[/vc_column] \n[vc_column width= »1/3″] \n[vc_column_text] \n\nTHÈME\n\nChopin-Sand\, une correspondance fantôme\nEn 1851\, Alexandre Dumas fils rend à George Sand ses lettres à Chopin découvertes par hasard au fin fond de la Silésie ; l’écrivaine va détruire la précieuse correspondance.
